Experiencing The Antigonish Highland Games
Join us as we chat with Dan from the Antigonish Highland Society (founded in 1861) as he fills us in on the Antigonish Highland Games which take place each year in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. This year July 2-9, 2023 you can visit and stay in Antigonish for a week long celebration of Scottish heritage which includes a street fair, highland dancing, concerts and of course the weekend Scottish Heavy Events! Tips For Hiking & Back Country Camping
We were so lucky to be joined a second time by Deborah Peddle-Hann! She joined us again to talk about her new passion she picked up during the pandemic, back country hiking! She shares with us what you need to do to be prepared, what to expect, why she fell in love with this activity and shares resources you NEED to enjoy what can be a challenging physical activity. Her advice (and definitely ours too) start with small, shorter hikes and do your research about what it means to be truly prepared as a back country hiker!
